We have come to shake tables today.
Summer 2026 is officially here, and just like every other summer before this, some of you have decided to lock yourselves indoors and not participate in anything fun. Some of you are even working all summer without a single break. Distance is the only thing preventing me from giving you a big knock on the head!
Rest, my brother and sister, is not a taboo. You have worked hard all year, survived a brutal winter, and a little rest during this period is absolutely essential. I am giving you a strict list of activities to do this summer so you can actually enjoy your holidays.

Take walks and explore your city
I already know the excuses. You will say you do not like walking or that Africans cannot trek for long distances. Yen yen yen. You are living abroad surrounded by so much incredible architecture and beauty. Stand up and go see it!
Some of you have been living in Russia for a good number of years and you are yet to see ten percent of your immediate surroundings, let alone historical landmarks. Go out with friends, because the weather is actually perfect right now. Just remember to always carry your original passport and other essential documents.

Travel across the country
I know this one takes proper planning and weighing of options, but sometimes it is not that deep. Russia is a massive country with incredible places worth visiting. And it’s not even expensive. You would be shocked to discover that you can actually easily afford a domestic trip.
Go on actual dates
Even if you can’t find a lover to go with, you can always go on a solo date or a group date with your friends. You do not need a romantic partner to enjoy the city. There are so many things you can plan. Organize a picnic in the park, book a sip and paint session, try out a new cuisine you have never tasted before, go for boat rides, or visit an amusement park. Treat yourself well because you truly deserve it.

Experience the dacha lifestyle
If you want a true Russian summer experience, gather a group of friends and rent a dacha for the weekend. A dacha is a summer country house, and spending a weekend there is the ultimate way to unplug. You can buy some meat, make traditional shashlik over an open fire, play games, and just breathe fresh air away from the noisy city center. It is incredibly relaxing and very budget friendly when you split the cost with your group.
Attend open air festivals
Summer in Russia is packed with outdoor events. From food festivals and music concerts in major parks to cultural exhibitions, there is always something happening every single weekend. Many of these events are sometimes free to attend. Do a quick search on local city channels, dress up nicely, and go soak in the vibrant atmosphere.
By the way, MALIBU 2026 is around the corner. If you’re in Moscow, that is exactly where you need to be.

You cannot spend your entire youth working double shifts and attending endless lectures. You need to create memories. Of course, stepping out and enjoying these summer activities requires a bit of money but we believe in you. Take the first step. You garrit!
