It’s the start of a new academic year in Russia, and for every student, there is always a mixture of emotions, meeting new teachers (the good, the scary, the bad, the kolo), new subjects, new schedules and getting adapted to them.
The never-ending cycles of assignments and deadlines, the weather, and how your bed seems impossible to get up from every morning. the noise from your alarm which is the most annoying thing in the morning and many other things…
Students face all these even at different levels, and there’s this universal opinion that school is hard and we can all agree that sometimes it’s just overwhelming and you really need a break.
Not to worry, E-solutions dey for you! We will be giving helpful tips to steer you through this new academic year.
- Be disciplined- Doing well in school needs a high level of discipline, and it’s true that people have different goals and aim for different results but it doesn’t take away the fact that you have to be disciplined.
- Start praying- Hmm, we know what we are saying o, some teachers and subjects can only be overcome by prayers. If you are studying in Russia, you need extra prayers because there is a language barrier you need to overcome.
- Follow who know road- This applies to academics too, get in touch with the right people to have the correct materials you need, ask questions from those who are ahead of you, and speak to them concerning certain issues you are facing, this will surely help you in staying afloat during the difficult times.
- Eat well- Ah, we can’t stress this enough. You can only be efficient if there is strength. When we are talking about food, we are not just saying any food o, we mean proper meals, containing nutrients that act as fuel for your body, not junk and over processed foods. Eating well has innumerable benefits, please eat well. Note to the shawarma guys, please tone it down this year.
- Rest o- No matter what happens, Rome cannot be built in a day. In the same way, all that you want to achieve cannot be done in a day, rest properly when it is needed. It’s not every time you sleep, there are times your body really needs to recharge, please rest.
- Be prepared to study and make sacrifices- It is said that whatever is worth doing, is worth doing well. You should also reflect this in your academics, study well and be ready to give whatever it takes. Trail blazers are not unfamiliar with sacrificing, they sacrifice their time, sleep and other things to keep themselves above. If you want to excel academically you know what to do.
- Confide in someone- When the going gets tough, have someone you can talk to. This helps to ease stress and whoever you are talking to can give you a fresh perspective on what you are going through. School can be tough, even on your mental health, speak to someone who can help proffer solutions to your problems.
- Spoil yourself- At some point, give yourself a good treatment. For the girls, get a manicure or pedicure, do something that makes you happy, and go shopping. For the guys- una sabi wetin una dey do. Once in a while just unwind, and take it slow. Don’t remain in this state for long o, there is still work to be done. But remember, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, so it’s okay to treat yourself well, and your body and mind will thank you.
E-solutions is wishing every student a beautiful year ahead, you can do whatever you set your mind to do.
Have an awesome school year!
