Billings…

At some point in time you have been billed when you even least expected it. Billings are those unexpected monetary responsibilities that come to spoil your plans. They sometimes leave you in regret and stressed out. They are expenses you never planned or foresaw, but somehow they manage to creep up on you.

If they come from family members or people we are well acquainted with, no wahala, but that one sef must not be too often, but you see when it comes from people you are not really close to, it pricks the most…

The funny thing is, the money given to these persons can be regarded as gone for life because they usually ask for money with little value and automatically expect you to forget about them.

Here are a few ways to avoid billings. You might know some of them already, but follow us all the same, and you will learn how to guard up:

  1. Teach them how you fish- If you want to be totally free from the burden of being someone’s free ATM, you might have to teach them how to make money on their own, especially if they are close to you.

This is like taking a horse to the river and also forcing it to drink because if they don’t learn to make money on their own, their financial burdens will constantly fall on you.

  1. Avoid certain calls and chats (you know the person whose name came to mind now)– You know those that call you out of the blue after a long time especially when it’s salary week. See just don’t pick!

Some of them are very bold and they know you might not reply to messages so they call directly, they establish small talk and shoot their burdens that way. And since you are too kind to say no, the call ends with you sending money to them. All these can be avoided if you just leave that phone to ring. Again, this is not applicable to everybody.

  1. Avoid replying to their status and stories- They post the most interesting and funny memes, and you will be tempted to write “Send please”. Please don’t!!! It’s a big trap.

Because from sending memes and videos, they go on to tell you about their financial state and how they urgently need money. Please don’t end the day regretting your decision, avoid unnecessary contacts to prevent unnecessary billings.

  1. Don’t flaunt it- See, some of you are experts in ‘living the life’ and letting everyone know. Small money has landed in your account and everyone on your WhatsApp knows it.

This is not advocating against posting and being active on social media, but certain posts attract certain people and their billings. You have been warned.

  1. Whine the whiner- This is especially peculiar to men. Omo anyone calling you names that you are not, call them another one sharp sharp. You see whining has a way of making you see yourself as what you’re not.

From singing your praises, the next thing you know, you are bringing out cash or making transfers. The next time someone calls you boss, you should rehearse your response if you don’t want to leave there a few rubles less.

  1. Set boundaries- You have to learn to put people in their place and even use bamboo to erect strict boundaries. There’s a way you act principled that people would sense and know not to try any weird thing with you.

Some people will still cross this boundary but they will ‘collect’ and serve as an example to others. If you welcome everything in this life, be ready to receive anything. Some people are ready to place all their financial issues on you, na you go reject am.

After all, only God can help us because some ‘billings’ will still come. This is sha not an excuse to be stingy or live tightly, but instead, it helps to prevent those out to sabotage money plans we have made. Apply all these and thank us later.

Yours in billions,

E-Solutions.
