There are also situations where you can also create job demands and have them met, through your innovations and ideas.

If you’ve not read the first version of this article from a year ago, here it is: JOBS YOU CAN DO AS A FOREIGNER IN RUSSIA

In this particular post, we are looking at a few other job opportunities in Russia, especially in summer for students, hustlers, and even the working class.

1. Fast Food Chains and Grocery Stores- There has been an increase in demand for workers at different fast food chains and supermarkets where workers are paid reasonably, under good working conditions and with a comfortable schedule.

Foreigners are also invited to work as long as they can provide the necessary documents and pass the initial tests (if there are any).

It is important to do your research with regards to the place you intend to work. Every establishment has a unique way of relating with its workers, it is best if you have this information already. Ask questions especially from those working there already.

You can also check sites like Superjob. Look through the companies there and change your city/ location to find the ones closest to you.

Vacancies in these companies are usually announced on their sites, locally in their physical location and even advertisements on social media or on their websites. If you’re looking for a long-term term job, this is the one for you.

2. Hair Braiding- For the ladies and even some guys, this is a great way to make cool cash during the summer months. It is not all cruise but you will definitely be getting the required reward for your labour.

Sochi is one of the most popular resorts on the Russian territory. This is the only city in Russia with a subtropical climate. Every year the city takes up to 5 million tourists during the summer season only.— Visit-Plus

Be it in your city or specific tourist locations where Russians go for holidays (for example the sea at Sochi), there are definitely profits from having or learning this special skill.

A lot of Russians like the African way of braiding, and since summer is one of the few times they get to have their hair made, you can seize this opportunity in making some money for the summer months.

Some Africans invest a lot in the business of hair making, especially in summer, they have an establishment in these holiday locations and they constantly need people to meet the demands, you can be employed by them and you will get paid your money while they organise your accommodation there. Send them a message here and thank us later.

3. Manual Labor- A lot of construction work happens in the summer months. Companies and small businesses are in constant need of people to lift goods, transfer appliances and perform general manual jobs.

Having a good command of English is key.

Russian families are in search of people with a good background in English/French, preferably native speakers to babysit or teach their kids because they believe constant interactions with native speakers would improve the child’s vocabulary.

The benefits that usually come with these positions are numerous. These camps are usually fun and they sometimes cover feeding and accommodation for instructors so you don’t have to worry about anything. Being a native English/French speaker is also a huge bonus.

These are just a few of the available job opportunities in summer, and there are still less explored waters like paid internships, customer care services, postal or online services that one can find and earn from.
